A Chad & Ronnie Christahannaqwanza Spectacular, Part 2: Euro Trip or Small Spaces & Different Places!

Last Time: Chad & Ronnie when out to find the Traditional Christahannaqwanza Sacred Holland Day's Bush, which they called Susan. They were at a Tree lot on their search for "Susan", which apparently is a Telephone pole. They were told they couldn't buy "Susan". So, Ronnie found an alternative, "Jerome". "Jerome" happens to be a wooden coat rack. Chad & Ronnie bought "Jerome" & went home. Back at their apartment, They decorated "Jerome" in the traditional fashion. After a small dance, their mail came. One piece of mail was an invitation to Sir Mumphrey Wilton's Home for Christmas. They were so happy until they found that the invite was not for them, It was for Dominic Clancy (AKA Mr. Epitome). So, Chad & Ronnie did the only thing they could do, return the invitation. But, they decided to return it to Sir Mumphrey in person. Which meant that Chad & Ronnie are going to England! Now on with the story......

"And So, Saint Rick Clausen got on his souped up Moped & rode off into the distance. As he rode off, one could hear being yelled: Lather, Rinse, Repeat! And, my friend that is the story of one of the first Christahannaqwanza's." Ronnie said.

Ronnie didn't know if Chad was listening or even if he was awake, he just felt like telling the story, it gave him a nice warm feeling. He couldn't see Chad mostly because they happen to be in the dark. They were in the dark because their crate didn't not come with a light. Then, Ronnie wondered what time it was. He had forgotten his watch back in the US. Then, he wondered about the money exchange rate between American & English money. Then, he thought about his socks. He likes socks!

Sometime later, Ronnie could hear some thing from outside their crate. It sounded like they were landing. Ronnie was glad. He was also happy that he overnight shipped himself & Chad to their destination. He wasn't sure how much longer he could stand being in that crate. During what Ronnie could only guess as being unloaded, Chad woke up.

"Good Morning, Good Afternoon & Good Night, Chad." Ronnie said, not knowing what time it was. As Chad moved around, Ronnie could hear his Accordion.

"I think we are in jolly, ol' England." Ronnie said.

Many hours later, The FED-UP delivery man delivered Chad & Ronnie to their final destination. Chad & Ronnie listened in on what was happening outside their crate. They were brought into the building, signed for & then left. Once they were sure no one was around, They set about opening the crate. They brought crow bars with them (They both found out that crow bars are not the greatest thing to sleep on or with).

Ronnie, who was on top, got out first. He stretched out as Chad got out & stretched.

"Not quite what I was expecting, but hey, it's their country!" Ronnie said as he commented on his surroundings. The duo happen to be in a back room of Buckingham Place. They left their crate to go & return the invite that wrongly was sent to them. They left the back room & proceeded to walk down one of the hallways.

As they walk, Ronnie asks "Did we water Jerome before we left?"

Chad shrugs his shoulders.

"I sure hope he doesn't dry out before we get back." Ronnie said.

They pass a ballroom. Chad taps Ronnie on the shoulder & points to a crowd. They were spilling out of the big ballroom. There was a big ceremony going on. One brave member of the English Commonwealth was being knighted.

"Cool! I guess he gets knighted because of his involvement with the Trans-Planetary Reality show thing that was on the TV recently." Ronnie said.

Chad & Ronnie were about to join the crowd to watch Hatman be knighted. But, some to the palace guards found them first. "Hey, you!" One called out to them. The duo turned to see who they were, they saw & then ran away.

As they ran, Ronnie looked over at Chad, he looked back at him. Then, Ronnie said. "Yes, I know, Chad. Mailing ourselves to the Queen of England may have not being the smartest thing to do."

They were searching for an exit. They finally found one. Now, they were outside, now they needed to find somewhere to hide. Chad pointed to an car, it was a Rolls Royce Silver Dawn, the trunk was open.

"Excellent thinking!" Ronnie said.

They ran for the trunk & were able to close the trunk's lid before the Guards came storming out of the Palace after them. They decided to wait there until the guards were gone. They didn't close the lid all the way, they could see outside. Once the guards had gone, they would go off to Wilton's & then back home to finnish their Christahannaqwanza celebration. While waiting for the guards to leave, the driver of the car came by & closed the trunk all the way. So, wherever that car was going, they were, too!

Half way through the trip, the hum of the car made them sleepy & they fell asleep.

Chad woke up first this time, the car had stopped & he shook Ronnie to wake him up. Chad saw that the trunk had not closed all the way, so he pushed open the trunk to find that they were in a fancy garage. It looked to have been at one time a stable for Horses. In fact, there was a Horse in the next stall, it was brown. Ronnie got up & out of the car. Chad then got out.

"Why are we always in tight spaces?" Ronnie asked.

Chad shrugged his shoulders.

"Also, why do you have to bring that stupid Accordion everywhere? I left Little Cat with Jane when we left the States, you could have left the Accordion at the apartment?" Ronnie yelled. His yelling spooked some birds roosting in the rafters.

Chad held his Accordion tightly. No one was going to take his Accordion. Then, Ronnie went & opened the door to the Garage/Stable. It was snowing outside.

Ronnie stuck out his tongue & caught a snowflake on his tongue. "Hmm. Tastes just like back at home."

The Duo could see through some trees the main building, They walked towards it. They needed directions to Sir Mumphrey's house, they were now completely lost. Chad knocked & a hunchback butler with a slightly crazed look on his face answered the door. "Yes?"

"Hello, my good sir. My name is Ronald & his associate's names in Chadwick." Ronnie said in his best english accent (He ended up sounding like Mr Howell from Gilligan's Island). When he mentioned Chad, he waved hello.

"Ok, name's Flapjack. You here for Mumph's party?" He said.

"Mumph, as in Sir Mumphrey Wilton?" Ronnie asked.

"Yes. Who else would I be talking about?" Flapjack said. As he spoke he was trying to place the two of them. He didn't see anyone named Ronald or Chadwick in the list of attendees, but he might have missed them. He then thought that they might be guests of CrazySugarFreakBoy! or dull thud's. They looked like it.

"Uh, I'm not sure. But, yes. We are here to see Sir Mumphrey." Ronnie said.

Then, Flapjack invited them in, they walked into the grand old building's foyer. "Can I take you coats, sirs?" Flapjack said.

"Yes, thank you." Ronnie said as he took of his bright yellow tench coat. Chad also took of his coat. They both handed them to Flapjack, he was going to go through their pockets after they were out of sight.

"The rest of the guests are in the main room. It's just down the hallway." Flapjack said & pointed down a hallway in front of them. "Just head on down the hallway, they are making lots of noise, you can't miss them."

"Thank you, hunchbacked one. Is Sir Mumphrey there?"

"Yes. At least, I think so."

Chad & Ronnie made there way down the hallway. Once The duo was out of sight, Flapjack reached into one of Ronnie's coat pockets & pulled out a handfull of jelly beans.

"Jelly beans? Why the heck is his pocket's filled with Jelly Beans?" Flapjack wondered to himself.

As Chad & Ronnie walked down the hallway, they looked at all the stuff around them.

"It's like being in a museum!" Ronnie said. Then, he started to search his pockets for something. "The invite!" he said, still searching. "Where is it?"

Still searching for it, Ronnie finally looked up & saw that Chad had it. "Oh, good god!"

He was relieved & stopped walking, turned to Chad & said. "So, here is what were going to do? Ok?" Chad nodded yes.

"We are going to go into the party, give the invite back to Sir Mumphrey, maybe get some free food. Then, leave. Alright?"

Again, Chad shook his head yes. They were now almost at the party. But, before they opened the doors, Ronnie to turned to Chad & said "You ready?" Chad shrugged his shoulder & they went in.

This story takes place a little before & during the first part of Untold Tales #200.

Chad & Ronnie being shipped to England was set up before I read 200, but Chad & Ronnie being shipped to Buckingham Palace was thought up after. It was the prefect way to get Chad & Ronnie to Mumph's, have they hide in the trunk of the Car taking some Lair Legionnaires to Mumph's house. (My thinking is that they stopped off at the palace to pick up Hatman, Sorceress, etc.) I'm not sure if they had luggage. If they didn't, it might have not been in the trunk.

The "Little Cat" mentioned is Ronnie's Hamster & "Jane" is Ronnie's ex-girlfriend. She left him for being too weird. I guess they made up or are at least on speaking terms.

The "Jerome" they mentioned is the Traditional Christahannaqwanza Sacred Holland Day's Bush (or to everyone else a Coat rack with branches duct tape to it, with lights draped around it.)
